I am incredibly passionate about education and am committed to ensuring the very best for every pupil, family and member of staff in the Bluebell Federation. I feel blessed to work alongside the wonderful communities across each of the five Bluebell schools and am committed to creating environments where children and adults can belong, learn and flourish.
I have worked in schools for over 20 years, during which time I have held a variety of roles including class teacher, SENCO, Deputy Headteacher, Headteacher and Executive Headteacher.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, particularly tackling escape rooms together!
Head of School, DSL
Wivelsfield Primary is a truly special place – the sense of community, the dedication of the staff, and the enthusiasm of the pupils make it a joy to come to work each day. I feel immensely proud to be serving as Head of School and am committed to continuing the nurturing, inclusive, and ambitious ethos that makes Wivelsfield such a wonderful environment for children to thrive in.
I have been teaching since 2008 and feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with children across all primary year groups, from Reception to Year 6. One of my favourite highlights of working at Wivelsfield Primary School is organising our Year 5 residential trip to Bowles – it’s always such a memorable and rewarding experience for the children (and the staff!).
I successfully passed my NPQSL in 2024 and I have led on developing oracy skills across the school through the Voice 21 project – a really exciting journey that’s already having a big impact on how we help children express themselves clearly and thoughtfully. I am currently studying for my NPQH.
When I’m not in school, I love visiting the theatre, sewing, or getting lost in a good book. My happy place is anywhere by the water – whether it's the sea, a lake, or a peaceful riverbank!
SENCO, DDSL (Monday - Thursday)
After being in Berkshire since University I have returned to the village I grew up in, just down the road. I have been teaching for many years, the majority of that time has been spent in Reception and Nursery which I absolutely love, with a few years in Year 2 and Year 5. Being a SENCO is a new role for me, but one I feel very privileged to be able to do.
When I am not at school I spend my days trying to tire out my two young children. We love going to the beach in all weathers and I am the unproud owner of the naughtiest cat in the world.
Deputy Head, Badgers Teacher (Thursday and Friday) DDSL
From the moment I joined the team, the supportive community, in both school and the wider village, instantly impressed me. I taught across all KS2 year groups before joining the Senior Leadership Team. I now enjoy a combination of class teaching and being part of the team to drive the quality of provision in the school.
Outside of school, I enjoy getting out of Brighton and going on long walks/occasional runs and attending yoga classes. To balance out all the activity, I also enjoy cooking (and eating) tasty treats and competing in the family brownie making competition.
Class Teacher- Robins
Having completed my Early Career Teacher training whilst part of the Wivelsfield Primary team, I am excited to continue to be part of this supportive community. I am thrilled to be teaching Robins, I love being part of a child’s learning from Early Years education; preparing them for their journey at Wivelsfield.
I am also delighted to be Phonics and Early Reading lead, as I have a passion for phonics and watching children discover and enjoy stories through their reading.
In my free time I like to ride my horse, Oscar, take my labradoodle, Rupert, for walks along the beach in Brighton and go for yummy (veggie) Sunday Roasts!
Class Teacher- Hedgehogs
After growing up in South Wales, I moved to Brighton in 2019 to attend university and have loved living in Sussex ever since. I am delighted to have joined the wonderful team at Wivelsfield Primary School and have already been made to feel so welcome by the staff, children and the whole school community.
My background in Music and Dance has given me a real passion for creating an active, musical classroom where learning is fun, engaging and accessible for all children. I particularly enjoy teaching Maths, Music and PE and love helping children develop confidence, creativity and a love for learning.
It has been fantastic to get to know the children and I am excited to watch them grow and thrive throughout the year.
Outside of school, I enjoy attending dance classes, playing netball and baking lots of cookies and Welsh cakes!
Class Teacher- Rabbits, Sports Lead
I am delighted to be a part of the Wivelsfield community. One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is spending time with the children, getting to know them and celebrating their many successes along the way.
I've always been a keen sportsperson and love keeping active so I'm especially passionate about creating fun, positive and memorable experiences for children through being active. Its rewarding to see them grow in confidence, discover new interests and most importantly enjoy themselves and have fun along the way.
Class Teacher- Foxes (Monday - Wednesday)
As a resident of Wivelsfield as well as a member of staff I truly believe it is an amazing place to grow up. Wivelsfield school and community are welcoming, supportive and creative and it really is a fantastic place to live and work! Although I am newer to teaching than other members of staff, I have been lucky to gain experience from working with children of ages ranging from 2 onward for the last 4 years.
Although I do love teaching English and Maths, my favourite subject to teach is our 'Topic'. This normally includes History and Geography; I just love learning with the children, discovering new information and building up the children's knowledge and understanding over the course of the year.
When I'm not in school, I'm busy trying to keep my two children entertained. We love being outdoors together, exploring in the woods with our dog Rosie and going on bear hunts!

I have been a teacher at Wivelsfield School for over a decade and feel incredibly proud to be part of such a dedicated and enthusiastic team. During this time, I have taught across all age ranges and have loved watching the children grow into confident, capable individuals we are truly proud of. I am passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom and am always seeking opportunities for children to apply their skills in real-life contexts, helping them to develop curiosity, resilience and independence. I am also the Art and Design Technology lead, roles I value highly because these subjects encourage creativity, problem-solving and practical skills. They allow children to express themselves, think imaginatively and learn how ideas can be turned into real, purposeful outcomes.
Alongside my teaching role, I run our school Chess Club, which I thoroughly enjoy. Chess provides children with a valuable opportunity to develop strategic thinking, concentration and problem-solving skills. It encourages patience, perseverance and sportsmanship, while also building confidence as pupils learn to plan ahead and reflect on their decisions. I love seeing children of different ages work together, challenge themselves and celebrate each other’s successes around the chessboard.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring nature with my family. We love climbing rocks, jumping in puddles and building dens, and I also enjoy gardening with my sons. Working the soil together helps them learn patience, responsibility and an appreciation for the natural world.
Class Teacher - Otters and Maths Lead
From my very first day as a trainee teacher here at Wivelsfield, I have been welcomed and supported by everyone. The whole school community works incredibly hard together to provide the children with a safe, rich and fun learning environment.
I am lucky enough to have been involved in many aspects of school life. I am currently mathematics coordinator and have previously supported the implementation of Oracy at the school. I am also currently completing a masters in leadership and management- something the school have encouraged me to do and offered me support to complete it alongside my time in classroom.
I lead Maths within the school, supporting my colleagues and the children at Wivelsfield to deliver an engaging mathematics curriculum. We follow the White Rose scheme and currently use the 'Mastering number' program to support increased fluency- an area we were trying to improve as a school.
When I'm not in school, I enjoy playing golf and going on walks with my dog Ralphie.

I am delighted to work at Wivelsfield Primary School. I have been a primary school teacher for over 20 years. During this time I have principally taught in Key Stage 2.
My specialism is English which I studied alongside Education at university. I am passionate about making learning fun, engaging and tailored to pupils needs.

I am very proud to be a member of the Wivelsfield community and have thoroughly enjoy be part of the Wivelsfield ‘family.’
In particular, I enjoy seeing the children’s ideas develop and evolve into wonderful learning moments and achievements. It Is great to see the combination of small steps and giant leaps which all of the children make.
Outside of school, I enjoy to read, cook and listen to music. I also love to visit and explore new places!
Class Teacher - (Currently on MAT leave)
I am really pleased to have joined the Wivelsfield team! The school has a friendly atmosphere and a really wonderful setting. I have been teaching in London for over ten years and have been lucky enough to have taught across every year group. Having been class teacher across Key Stage 2 many times, I have developed a real love for this stage and am very happy to be teaching Year 3 this year. It is a real privilege to work with children every day and I am particularly passionate about catering for different learnings styles in the classroom as well as helping all children reach their potential. I love teaching reading and writing and using art and drama across the curriculum. I have a degree in History and so am looking forward to leading both History and Geography across the school this year, bringing the world into the classroom and the past to life in fun ways!
In my spare time, I enjoy getting out in nature, running, swimming and going for long walks and am passionate about looking after and protecting our environment. I have a two year old son who keeps me very busy when I am not teaching!
