Forest School

The ethos of Wivelsfield Forest School is based on a fundamental respect for children, encouraging them to take risks, make choices that involve challenge and make mistakes whilst adults ensure safety.

Our Forest School aims to help with the building of character and personality traits such as resilience, self-reliance, creativity, confidence, motivation and independence. During their sessions, children will build an awareness of others and to support each other. Engaging children at a sensory and intellectual level with their environment offering them the capacity to instigate, test and maintain curiosity in the world around them.

Forest School Rules:

- Look after yourself

- Look after other people

- Look after where you are

Each KS1 child will have a Forest School session once every two weeks and KS2 every short term.
