Wivelsfield School is looking for a caretaker to join our happy and dedicated team. The school is situated in the heart of the village, near both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill and benefits from spacious modern premises and grounds.
We need someone who will take a real pride in ensuring the school building is maintained to a high standard, and our lovely outside areas are well cared for.
The job includes:
Opening the school each morning and locking it for occasional out of hours lettings
Responsibility for checking buildings and grounds every day and, where appropriate, repair/report any faults needing urgent attention.
Ensuring outside areas are kept free from litter, sweeping leaves, emptying bins, light garden maintenance, washing down areas etc. to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
Undertaking general repairs and maintenance around the establishment, inside and out to ensure the site is a safe environment for students, staff and visitors. A small amount of cleaning is required.
Responsibility for some site security and checks outside of school operational hours.
Responsibility for undertaking daily, weekly and periodic health and safety checks and completing relevant paperwork.
